AU Receives Positive Review from Exhibitors

Today started as a typical conference day at Autodesk University. Wake up at 6:00 am. Catch the Designing the Future education presentation at 8:30, then hurry to a class on implementing Autodesk software. It was also the last chance to check out the exhibit hall and ask the exhibitors how the show went.

The exhibit hall was anything but typical and busier than I expected.

As I made the rounds I found a few companies I was not familiar with such as Khan Global and IDS Engineering – both first time exhibitors at AU. It turned out that IDS Engineering is Autodesk Partner of the Year Advanced Solutions’ sister company. I spoke with Advanced Solutions Vice President of Marketing & Market Expansion Chris Lavenson who filled me in on IDS Engineering, an OEM provider of Autodesk Solutions. Lavenson commented on behalf of IDS Engineering, “The conference has been a grand slam for us.” The company had gained much insight from customer’s ideas and requests throughout the course of the conference. IDS Engineering Marketing Manager Raquel Raies said they were very excited to be exhibiting. “Autodesk University is a great opportunity for getting exposure and letting attendees know about our unique offering,” said Raies. They were getting ready to announce the winner of their big screen T.V. drawing.
