Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. The QE is responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products. Typical daily activities would include: answering support calls/emails from end-users, working with software developers to resolve higher level issues, documentation of issue resolutions, execution of software build processes (using scripts/automation tools), and development and execution of software product test scripts.
This position would have an on-call responsibility for resolution of emergency issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Field support calls for software products
- Identify, research, and resolve technical issues
- Maintain ownership of support cases and serve as a single point of contact for end-users, coordinating with software engineers for issue resolution where necessary
- Develop, maintain, and leverage a library of documented solutions
- Manage and execute software product build process
- Develop and document detailed test plans and scripts for software products
- Lead and perform test execution
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in the Information Technology field
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Must be able to communicate technical concepts to others who may or may not have technical backgrounds
- Some experience with software support, help desk, or software testing procedures and methods

Engineer. This position will work from the Headquarters Office
located in the Eastpoint Business Center in Eastern

Job Responsibilities
This position will participate on teams and lead activities involving
the following types of projects and work. Some travel required (1 to
3 days at a time, all in the U.S.).
- Work Measurement and Time Study
- Lean Manufacturing Studies
- Process Re-Engineering Studies
- Facility Layout
- Facility Locations Analysis
- Warehouse Slotting Analysis using Slot3D tools w/AutoCAD 2007
- Supply Chain and Transportation Analysis
- Client Training on Software and Systems Implementation
- Simulation Modeling
- Project Management
Preferred Qualifications
Highly qualified applicants will have the following qualifications:
- Industrial Engineering Degree with 2 or more years practical
experience
- Expert Level Microsoft Office Tools, AutoCAD, and SQL Database
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong Statistical and Analytical capability
- Experience with Simulation Modeling
- Experience with Leading and Managing Projects
